American Civil Liberties Union
The ACLU, founded in 1920, exists to protect your rights. This non-profit, non-partisan organization handles nearly 6,000 court cases every year, from offices in every state. The ACLU has maintained the position that civil liberties must be respected even in times of national emergency.
Americans United for the Separation of Church and State
This organization, founded in 1947, has been working tirelessly to keep the separation of church and state. It is non-sectarian, non-partisan, and independent. AU frequently litgates on behalf of individuals and groups. They intiate lawsuits, provide legal counsel and support, and serve as partners in joint lawsuits.
Freedom From Religion Foundation
FFRF was incorporated in 1978, and is a 501 (c) (3) educational, non-profit organization. Its purposes, as stated in its bylaws, are to promote the constitutional principle of separation of state and church, and to educate the public on matters relating to nontheism.
Godless Americans Political Action Committee
GAMPAC grew out of the historic Godless Americans March On Washington held on November 2, 2002 in D.C. The organization endorses candidates for public office who support the First Amendment separation of church and state; defends equal rights and protections for our nation’s godless Americans; informs our community of the voting records of their elected representatives on issues of concern; and supports our goal of having “a place at the table” for in formulating public policy.
